      I have no idea where you would get a strapless and backless gown. Have you by any chance spoken to a dressmaker? I know that sounds expensive, but you would be surprised at how inexpensive they really are, go meet with one and see if maybe they can put your vision into a sketch so you can see it and they can tell you how and if it can be done.

      There isn't a picture of the back, but it's probably a low back, a totaly backless one would tend to slip down. Most dresses that are listed as "backless" are just a low back in wedding gowns.

      I think this dress will be appropriate enough for a wedding. The high neckline and semi-long length almost cancel out the back and make the whole dress appropriate. Just make sure no undergarments show (like a bra strap) incase you choose to take off your jacket. I think white or cream heels with a cream jacket would be adorable! Or maybe black shoes and a black jacket. Have fun at the wedding!

      Having a backless dress that is that low is trashy. It's not really appropriate for a wedding when there will be kids, grandparents, aunts, uncles, etc. in attendance. A wedding is not a cocktail party.

      The Maggie Sottero dresses that someone else listed are beautiful, but you will notice that they do not go down as low as you seem to want.

      You can't just get rid of it like that unless you want surgery.

      My advice is to use stage make-up or just deal with it. Stage make-up is thick and usually won't come off if you sweat.

    I fell in love with a backless/halter style wedding dress. However my budget is tight and the dress is an amazing deal.       If the dresses are snug maybe you might want to look for a different dress because you do not want your bridesmaids to be uncomfortable. I am an over weight person (about 50 pounds) and I had to wear a strapless dress for my sisters wedding and I was very uncomfortable because I was worried all night that my dress was going to fall off and because it showed off everyones figure I was also uncomfortable about it too. I would have prefered something that you can not tell who are the skinny and who are the fat ones because I was one of the fat girls.

    I am getting married next may and my dress has a mandarin collar that connects in the back of the neck then there is a huge circle opening that shows my whole back. I have very small breasts but pushup bras really help out a lot and give the illusion of cleavage. I am a personal trainer and since I work out regularly... if I dont have a good bra you can tell that my "cleavage" line is more accurately the edge of my pec muscles.       I haven't tried neither, but it all depends on your size. I heard the adhesive bras can make problems above a C cup and provide little support to all but small busts. In my opinion the strapless longline bra will make the best service, proved it is good quality and in your correct size. And I think it can be a sexy undergarment, which is always a plus. But I judge by just looking on them and information service called "one lady said so", so I may be wrong. But if I were you, I'd prefer the longline bra if you have anything above an A, perhaps B.

      I work there currently, so let me give you the REAL facts...and I have a small cup size so I can totally relate :)

      There are several different styles, but it depends on your dress and what you are going for. At Victoria's secret, these are part of a collection "Style Secrets". Search "style secrets" on victoriassecret.com to see what I'm talking about. Go to the site to see the variety or to a store. (You might want to call to see if that store carries them too, to save a trip and gas if they don't).

      If you don't have a VS, lots of stores sell them. They work, too. The difference is the quality of material, but purpose is the same. (rant to follow)

      The only real way to get any real support from a backless bra (that is strapless) is if it has UNDERWIRE. or straps at least, but for a strapless bra...def. underwire.

      however, those bras don't stick to your breasts like most invisible bras. They have sticky clear short straps (where the band or wing of your bra would be) that lay upon your ribs exposing your back. These go by actual bra size (band size and cup size, ie: 36B, 34 C)

      The invisible bras that stick to your breasts have special adhesive that allow it to be reusable up to 25 times (that is, if after each use you clean it with some mild soap and water and let it air dry, otherwise it'll gather dust, lint, and oil like tape. Some are thin, and some have push up (or really a thicker cup with more padding on the bottom. Really, those more add volume or size to the breasts rather than lift, although it can add cleavage if you position the bra as needed. These bras are pretty much two squishy cups with a clear hook in the middle to join them--adjusting them further will give you a little more cleavage. Remember, no straps, no wires. no lift. gravity pulls your breasts down.

      Depending on how low your dress is, (like say ending mid back than just above your butt) you could purchase a "low-back" bra, which has a wide strap that hooks on one end of the bra, wraps around the tummy,and reconnects on the other end. (Note, if you have some pudge on your tummy, this might not work out if you have a tight dress because the strap will dig into your stomach and make it appear that you have rolls, even if you might not even have any) Try the "Gorgeous Push Up" or "Very Sexy Lowback" (discontinued, but check semi-annual sale or online)

      If you don't have a Victoria's Secret around, try department stores, Wal-Mart, or flea-markets, or even the smaller non-brand stores in the mall. (Remember you get what you pay for, and I've tried many brands, and some work amazing, some were a waste.) Lots of brands/makers make "knock-offs" of Victoria's secret bras. They perform the same functions and may also have similar features, but they won't have the technology like memory foam, or patented material, or softer fabric---these bras get tested for over 12 months before they get released in stores, so the price you pay comes from all that goes into it. But there are some hidden treasures too. I like Lily of France.

      Before buying online, I really suggest going to an actual Victoria's secret to get fitted. IT'S FREE! You don't want to have to wait a week or two for it to come in, (or pay extra shipping for speedy delviery) and it does not fit. Waste of time. See the actual product itself in stores. (find locations on victoriassecret.com). Try it on, or at least look at it to see if you want to buy it). We are all trained to fit. If in doubt, ask for the "bra specialist". Go on a low traffic day or time period, or at least go on a day when you at least have time to try the bra on and find the right size and style that looks best on your unique body shape. Save money (no returns, no bras you won't ever wear) save time (no extra trips).

      Vicky's secret isn't the only bra store, there are several other places that specialize in bras--just search around your area. Lane Bryant, Soma, some higher-end department stores) They have trained people who have knowledge about bras, and boobs, and sizing, and everything you wanna know. More pricey, but hey, you get what you need, you get the right size so you look amazing and you'll feel more comfortable and confident.     wedding dress opinion, and a question about big boobs?
    Is it trampy/bad/etc. to wear a wedding dress that is tea-length AND backless? If location matters, we'll be in the glass tunnel at the aquarium of the pacific for the ceremony and at midaevel times dinner theatre for the reception.

      My first thought was that it is your wedding and you may wear anything you want!! Then I googled tea length wedding dresses....they are really pretty!! As for the boobs...if you get the dress fitted correctly I don't think you should have a problem....go to Victoria Secrets or a department store and ask their opinion on what type of bra would give the most support and coverage with a strapless dress. Now...for the backless dress...I think that there are bras that only cups your breasts and doesn't go the whole way around...that would work for a backless dress.

    One of my best friends is getting married next year and since she has 4 sisters I got shafted as a bridesmaid :( but thats ok, cause now I get to choose a smokin' hot dress that I can wear more than once :D

    I don't want a ball gown or a princess like dress. I have a small body type, with small upper body, so I don't really like strapless, but I can always have straps put on. I really like the backless dress and I love heavy beading and details.

      It's a very hard choice for me between dress #3 and #4 b/c as you say I too LOVE heavy beading and details and the lovely Lace. I still love it no matter what people may say. It's a timeless classic.

      The detailing of number 3 will show very nicely in pictures and the heavy beading suits the fall just perfect!

      I really love number 3 then I also love number 4 they're both super exquisite.
      But something about #3 is just so striking to me, can't take my eyes off of it!

      I don't know how your body type is, I see no pic of you, but b/c you have a small frame a form fitting dress should look stunning on you! I personally love Ivory - it's so flattering on most everyone.

    We need suggestions for a big busted woman wearing a strapless/backless dress.?
    I have a coworker who is about 5 feet and 100 lbs or so. However she has been blessed with a natural size D cup. She has a dress for a wedding that is strapless as well as backless. The problem is the dress does not give any support what so ever for her chest size. She has tried all the "stick on" gimmicks. The strapless bra that snaps around the lower back shows on the side. We need suggestions on how to help her!!! Anyone out there with suggestions? Please!!

      i dunno what the bra was called but i saw it on rachael ray so you could probably find it on her website! and she talked about this bra and it still has straps (but i think can switch them for clear or tan ones) and it works perfect with a backless shirt/dress and rachael had it modeled on a large chested women and it held them up very well! so if you can find that on her website then it would work!!

      i own a bra which is strapless and instead of being normal at the back it is just a clear plastic strap, so yes it would still show but it wouldn't be that noticable, i got mine at H&M

      my other suggestion is depending on how much bra shows with the lower back strap one you could just alter the back of the dress slightly by pinning it to the bra so that it doesn't show

      and if that still doesn't work then you could try just taping them! put something like the stick on bras on first so that they are protected then use normal tape and strap em down!

    I need help from ladies with big boobs - - - pleeeeease. I am in a wedding and the dress I have to wear is completely backless (all the way past my waistline). I'm a 36DD and have no idea what I should do. I'm scared to use duct tape and those pasties never have the right support.

    Can anyone with the same issue give me advice? Does that Nu-Bra work for big boobs? It looks like it has padding - and I don't need anymore junk up on top!

      I have the nu bra and it does work well. There is some support (more than pasties but less than regular bra). There are 2 types, one that is completely gel that does add padding and one that is called the featherweight that looks like a regular cup except it has a layer of the sticky stuff.

    I need the perfect bra/bustier for my wedding dress?
    I've seen the wedding dress that I want but now i need to find the perfect undergarment for it.
    Its a cowl neck with thin diamante straps that cross over at the back and then the dress goes into a v shape at the bottom of my back. Problem is i'm big chested, DD and can't wear any straps with it and it needs to be backless.
    I've had a look in all the shops and there's nothing and even on line, the bustiers dont seem to be low enough at the back.
    I was even thinking of buying those 'magic tape' solutions where you tape them up! does anyone have any solutions or whether the tape will work? this wedding dress is my perfect one so i need some help! Thanks! (serious answers please) x

      Hi, I JUST got married and had the same issue...I am lucky since my very good friend OWNS A LINGERIE SHOP and is a bra fit specialist. Here is what she ( and I ) reccomend. Do not apply a shelf bra, it will not give support to a chest your size.

      Problem is, that even wedding gowns have fashion laws, and you can't always get something that was in high fashion, what? eight, nine years ago?

      While I think this is a great dress for a nice night club, I don't think its appropriate for a wedding. Wear something a little longer, and not backless.

      You should print the picture out and go to some bridal shops and ask them if they have anything similar to it, and you should also describe that you want it to be backless, etc. I think it shouldn't be too hard to fin one, but if you can't find one that's close to it, then you could consider looking online, if you don't mind ordering online. If you don't want to order online, then go to a shop that makes clothing, like tailor shops, etc, and have them make one for you according to how to like it.
