My daughter is getting married in a couple weeks at First Baptist Church, small town, Tn.
She wants to play some country songs that are special to her and her fiancee during the wedding.
Someone told me you cannot play country music in a baptist church so I was wondering if this is true?

  It really depends on the minister's discretion as to whether this will be allowed. In my experience most are fairly agreeable to different types of music but you have to go over the song choices beforehand to make sure they are suitable for a Church. The Church will also need to have the right facilities to allow you to play music so it's worth asking about the technical requirements too.

I was wanting some modern wedding country songs for ideas. I want to go more outside the box away from the usual yet great songs such as George Strait, Tim McGraw, and John Michael Montgomery. So I am having a pretty country wedding next summer. We are getting married infront of a corn field and my flowers will be sunflowers and daiseys.   My daughter got married in April and her father/daughter dance song was "I Loved Her First" by Heartland, which you can see on You Tube. Everyone loved it and it was so touching. She was going to pick "My Little Girl" by Tim McGraw but we knew my husband would just literally break down on that one.
  
  My niece had a country wedding and she gathered up a bunch of real cowboy boots and cleaned them up, then the florist made flower arrangements in them for each table. It was really cute.

A recommendation for a first dance song would also be good. I'm not looking for anything too mushy.
