We are going to have a small wedding ceremony and after we are planning on a dinner with about 60 people. We aren't going to have a fancy program just dinner and some cake. Do we still need to send out wedding invtations?yes.the wedding invitations are to invite people to the wedding. the reception information is added at the bottom almost as an after thought. the invitation is for the wedding ceremony and then you put "dinner at (location of the dinner) following" at the bottom and add RSVP and a contact number so people can let you know for sure they will be attending or not.there is no fancy program at any wedding reception unless you mean the dancing and cutting the cake and throwing the bouquet and garter.
