   Unique/funny/cute sayings for save the date, invitations and rsvp cards for my wedding any ideas?
   I'm getting married on October 9th, 2010 i know its really early but i'm a full time student and didn't want to be all stressed out over a couple of months when i can take a whole year to plan it and spread it out.      I would find some sort of peacock themed card stock to print the above wording on or maybe use plain card stock but embellish them with peacock feathers or something similar.

   Peacock themed wedding!?
   Ever since i was little i have loved peacocks, and now have decided i would like there feathers to be a part of my wedding. I know all about the different superstions about peacocks and what not, but im not a superstitous person. I want them in my wedding bouqets, center pieces, boutaniers, and invitations.    Peacock feathers for wedding theme?
   My wedding colors are chocolate, green, and ivory. My wedding is outdoors and I wanted to add something a little different. I've always loved peacock feathers. I don't want to go overboard with them. Just maybe some in my bouquet, in a vase on the guest book signing table, and maybe on my invitations (they are a simple chocolate brown with green ribbon). What do you think?

     a friend of mine who makes invitations, made one with peacock feathers. I don't know what the reception was like, or where it was incorporated elsewhere, but I think that'd be awesome. I just took a picture a few months ago of a male peacock parading around, if you need a background picture for anything. I zoomed in on the feathers and it looked pretty good..

   Harry Potter Wedding Ideas?
   My future Hubby and I are BIG Harry Potter fanatics. Serious die hard fans. No surprise when we both we would have an all out Harry Potter theme wedding. I know it may sound lame, but we LOVE the idea, and it's our day right? Why the heck not? Anyway, I'm having a bit of a mental block as to what to do for well . . . EVERYTHING!!! I had a few ideas, not sure if they're lame or not but, here they are. My hubby thought that the song that the bride walks down the aisle is overdone, so his suggestion was to have the harry potter theme song be played while I walk down the aisle. And although this next part is a fantasy and would NEVER happen unless i won the lottery or married a member of the royal family, a girl can dream can't she? The reception or the actual ceremony would be held at the castle the Harry Potter movies were actually filmed at. Wouldn't that be so cool??? I thought so anyway. Now, back to reality. The wedding is being held in England, most likely london. Were not sure yet. All of the guests on the guest list are flying in to come attend the wedding. So we'll have them come to a fitting to get measurements for their proper wedding attire, wizard robes of course! We would have an official sorting hat to sort them into houses to know which robes they would wear and which table they would sit at. We would have the four house tables, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin. And the table that the staff would sit at, would be the bride and groom table. I am seeing about finding the Alexander McQueen fall 2008 peacock wedding dress that is the almost exact dress that Fleur wore at her wedding, but have it altered to be longer like the dress in the movie. t's a winter wedding, and were hoping it will snow so it will be more romantic. We would be having similar foods to those of the welcoming feast. Butterbeer, Pumpkin juice, and Bertie Bott's every flavor beans are a must at a Harry Potter wedding. At the actual ceremony, the priest dude has agreed to dress like Albus Dumbeldore when he marries us. We'll be sending invitations very much alike to the Hogwarts acceptance letters with the official stamp mark and emerald green ink. At the reception, were going to contact the members of some of my favorite wizard rock bands to see if they come and play at the reception. The top so far are Oliver Boyd and the Remeberalls, the moaning myrtles, the remus lupins etc. We want it to be sort of a Yule Ball wedding. We're having a LARGE special cake made of Hogwarts castle, with us under the Whomping Willow. So its a large cake of the whole grounds, the black lake with a mermaid head out of the water and she'll be singing the song heard in the golden egg retrieved in the first task of the Goblet of Fire Tournament. The quidditch field, Hogsmeade, Hagrid's Hut, the Forbidden Forest complete with the flying car from the second movie. It will be snowy too. Water Goblets, gold plates, food rising out of the tables, it's going to be AMAZING!!! I know it totally sounds lame but, it's what we love. He actually proposed to me with a sterling silver Horcrux ring, in the cold wintry weather in a white horse drawn carriage. It was snowing and SOOOOO romantic. He did give me a real ring. The most gorgeous ring i've ever seen. It was the Tiffany Novo ring, it's SOOOOOOO beautiful. The first part of our honeymoon will be in Florida where we will spend two weeks checking out the new Harry Potter theme park, Universal, and Disney theme parks. Then we're spending three weeks renting a beach house in the Outerbanks. You only have one wedding. Why not go all out? Well that's my story. If you have any suggestions of anything i could do to make my day more magical it would be most appreciated.

     I love this idea!! Seriously, don't listen to all those people telling you it's a stupid idea - you're 100% right, it's your day and you and your fiance should create a wedding that you are both going to remember. I love your wedding dress idea, gorgeous - is your fiance going to go more along the lines of Harry Potter's Yule Ball dress robes? I also love your cake idea - it sounds amazing.

     My suggestions to you are - instead of releasing a white dove, or a flock of them (like they do at some weddings), release a white owl; because having the wedding at the actual castle the movies are filmed at could be hugely expensive, try and find another castle (or castle-like building) around London that you could have the ceremony/reception at; dress your bridesmaids similar to Hermione at the Yule Ball (also a lovely dress).

   i want to recreate these wedding invations for my own. we are having a very small wedding, sending only about 30-40 invites- so i cannot justify spending the $$ to order these.. plus we're working on a budget. i have all the things i need to recreate EXCEPT for the white paper with the teal, plum, and lime swirl... if anyone has any suggestions for something similar or even better where i can find that paper it would tickle me to death thanks!

     That is custom paper, so you're not going to find it anywhere else pre-designed. You could find a similar paper, or design the pattern yourself (with Photoshop or a free, entry-level alternative called GIMP) and have it printed on cardstock.

    Will Hyacinth Bucket and Mrs. Slocombe attend royal wedding?
    I hear from good sources that Hyacinth Bucket (pronouned boo-kay of course!) has been planning her wardrobe for the royal wedding for months now (emerald green silk frock, matching hat with tons of feathers like the Queen Mum was fond of wearing, dyed-to-match heels, long white gloves, and a paste brooch that is a copy of one of the Her Majesty's favorites). I also hear that Betty Slocombe has asked for the week off from Grace Brothers because she is so thrilled about it all. With her staff discount, Mrs. Slocombe has purchased extra-special hair dye and a beautiful frock and hat for the special day. She even has a sitter scheduled for her pussy to allow her to be away for an extended period.

    Please tell me these two proper English ladies were invited and will be seated in the abbey. They will be crushed if they did not receive an invitation. What will Hyacinth tell her dinner guests at her next candlelight supper if the Queen overlooked her on the guest list?! And poor Betty won't be able to face Captain Peacock and the others if she was slighted by the Queen. Oh, and Hyacinth's dear sisters Daisy and Rose. Well, we know someone of their class won't be receiving an invitation. I hear that these two are just hoping that Onslow will let them watch a bit of the wedding on the telly if he can change over the channel long enough from the racing .
