      I think it's perfectly fine! Honestly with most dresses you can't really see the shoes and I think it's a cute way to tie in her wedding color...it's unique, not tacky

      i'd say that completely depends on your style & personality. if you're bold enough for a pop of color, the purple will work. matchy matchy is boring, but of course that's only my opinion. rock the purple! snazz it up with elegant jewelry in antique silver, & consider going with a purple gemstone. i'd definitely try to find a fun purple clutch. just don't do any other color.

    Need tips on breaking in my wedding shoes lol?
    They are the right size. I had them fitted properly but they hurt. I have tried wearing them and it's not working. I had them on for 20 mins today during a dress fitting and my toes went purple and felt like they had been amputated. Can you recommend a better way of breaking in my wedding shoes?

    • ANSWER:
      How long had you been wearing them before you put them on for a 20 minute stretch? I would never start with 20 minutes for breaking in shoes, I normally go with 5 minutes the first little while, and stick with that until they're completely comfortable, then go for 10 minutes a day (or twice a day) and so on.

      If you got them fitted, was it at a place which a) didn't measure the width of your foot or b) tried to say you should have a narrower shoe, because your foot was wide? (I have 4E feet and have had both happen to me, the latter at a place that allegedly specialized in wide feet). In that case you can try stretching them. Many shoe repair places do it, there's also a liquid or spray you can get which will stretch the leather out.

      Oh, and if you're shoes aren't leather you're out of luck. Fabric does not stretch, not to the extent you need.

      Love the dress and LOVE the Louboutins however, the purples aren't similar enough. The purple in your dress is a blue-toned purple, where as the purple in the shoes is a red-toned purple. Look at the large image of the dress next to the shoes, you'll see what I'm talking about. I would suggest a different shoe with that dress, or if you really love the shoes and want to wear them then I'd suggest a different dress.
      I guess it depends what you like better, the dress or the shoes...

      EDIT: I just realized you said the shoes look like those ones. I'd compare the purples and see if their similar. Its ok to mix dark and light but make sure you've got a similar hue. If so, then go for it!

      I do not know what is the problem with two things matching. In formal circles, its appropriate. I would wear silver accessories with such a dress.

      it seems like this wedding is going to be less formal so black shoes aren't the best choice, probably white would go better. but white stilettos are creative as long as you get like a deep white colour but there are lots of other creative colours for shoes too., but be careful to pick a colour that matches.

      Alot of people hate the dyed shoes but that's one option.

      I think black, silver, pewter or grey would work best. Although I think even a nude color might work. I'm not sure what time of year it will be or how short/long the bridesmaid dresses are but that could make a difference.

      It depends alot on your accessories,too. Like if you are taking along a purse, or have something you are wearing in your hair. I have seen celebities wear beige or tan alot with purple. White would go,too. Black does look funny but it depends on what shade purple. As far as the purple shoes, it would be cute if the shades comliment eachother.

      I'm sorry, but that just isn't appropriate. Weddings are formal events and Converse just don't show respect for the wedding couple. Unless your dress is really that casual (which it shouldn't) then I wouldn't do that.
      Besides, isn't a lot for shoes. You'll be sure to wear them again for any given formal (or even semi-formal) event, like graduation or a school dance, so it's not like they aren't useful. If you don't feel like heels, flats are just as good. Or you can borrow your mom's or sister's or even a friend's!
      If you're the bride, though, go for it if that's the kind of feel you want for the wedding.

      Your outfit sounds Amazing :D Personally I am very pale as well, so if I were you I would go with a natural foundation to match your skin tone, a rosy pink blusher on your cheeks ( not to much though you don't want to look like a clown) then just put a sweep of creamy/glittery eye shadow on over your eyelids (natural collection have a great one if your in the UK/IRE! Then just a simple line of black liquid eyeliner, add some mascara and your ready to party :) Hope this helps xx

If you don't want metalic try going for a matte color in a strappy sandal, maybe the same color or similar color as your dress is. If you can't decide on a color that will look good, nude will always work. Most shoe departments carry nude colored shoes. Deffinately stick with a strapped sandal though.

      Purple shoes woul work with the dress in this case. But if you are completely un sure then I suggest a neutral color. Neutrals can match with any and every color. So you can use black or white or gray or brown. As for the wrap you can get a pasmina from le chatue they have them in every color. As for the color of the pashmina I would suggest that you get that in the same color of your shoes.

      It really depends on the event.

      Etiquette says that black dresses are allowed at evening and/or formal weddings. But you wouldn't want to wear a black dress to an afternoon lawn event.

      Additionally, some brides don't get upset about things like this. Your best bet is to ask the bride. She can tell you with certainty.

      I would try a permanent marker, like a Sharpie. They come in lots of colors. They make one that is a highlighter and has some transparency to it. So you can show the silver shine through the color if you want to.

      That stuff seems to stick on everything and stay forever. I believe it would bond with plastics and vinyl.

    The dress is not exactly black, its purple but it has black lace all over it. So more like black and purple and all my friends tell me that lace and the colors are too wintery.
