     Sure... just make them strappy sandal heels. Regular full coverage shoes in any metallic color is a bit much and gets tacky fast.

   I found the perfect pair of wedding shoes and even though the picture looks like they are a cream/off-white colour, I was devastated when I read the details and they were actually beige. I even contacted the seller and asked if they really looked 'browny beige' or was the picture true and did they look off-white and she said that no, they looked browny beige.

   What do you think? My dress is floor length and an A-line skirt so they will show, but they won't be as emphasised as with like a silhouette dress.

     If its a formal evening wedding and your dress has some of the same sequined details then you can wear it.
     It will be a bit different, but not crazy different.
     If on the other hand, you have no glitz at all on the dress and its plain satin or silk, its a bit riskier and would look out of place.

      Beautiful dress! I have to agree with your mom. I think that there is too much gold coloring in the ivory dress.
      From experience, I would not purchase an expensive shoe or heels. No one will see the shoes, they will become uncomfortable and you'll end up taking them off.

      If you don't want to wear a flat, go for a lower heel. I would buy a pair of the dyeable shoes (Nordstroms, zappos.com, Payless and Payless.com) and have them dye it a shade closer to your dress. Or at least go out and buy an ivory colored pair of shoes. DSW shoe warehouse is amazing as far as selection is concerned!

    What shoes should I wear with my wedding dress?
    I was just about to buy a pair of gold, peep-toe slingback shoes from Nina to go with my wedding dress. But now thinking of the dress, it's white with a long taupe sash. I'm not convinced that taupe and gold match. What do you think? I'd prefer not to go silver or to dye shoes taupe...I'm buying Nina shoes because I'll get multiple wears out of them. Thoughts?
    I'm really not interested in white shoes, either. I'd never use them again. And I think of white shoes as boring and traditional. I'm a bit of a Sarah Jessica Parker dresser. And my accessories will be gold, so silver won't do. Taupe is a possibility.

      They are not too casual for a wedding. But you absolutely should wear pantyhose with those. Sheer and shiny tan pantyhose. No fishnets, they are disgusting, and bare legs are totally out too. Pantyhose is the way to go.

    I looked all over for shoes today and couldn't find much... tried Nordstrom, Macy's, Nine West, nothing. I ended up finding some stilletto strappy shoes in a very pale pink shade (which matches the pink/nude color underneath the silver lace.

    But, what do you think would go well? Type and color of shoe? Would black pumps be acceptable?
