The 21-track collection features performances by the Choir of Westminster Abbey, the Royal Chapel Choir, the London Chamber Orchestra and the Fanfare Team from the Central Band of the Royal Air Force.

According to Nielsen Media Research, the wedding coverage, drew an audience of 22.8 million viewers in the US and was covered by 11 television networks. By contrast, Prince Charles and Diana's wedding was watched by 14.2 million in 1981.
