Why would a woman need a pair of driving gloves? She may need them to simply keep in her car's glove compartment to wear when she is driving to keep her hands warm. During the cold months, the steering wheel in the car is extraordinarily cold and can be very uncomfortable. If a woman wears'gloves she will be able to keep her hands warm and toasty without the discomfort of the cold inside the car.
Another reason why a woman need a pair is because a driver's left arm tends to be more tanned than the right arm because of the sunlight shining though from the driver's side.' Wearing gloves when you drive can easily solve that problem.' You will never have to worry about the left arm being more tanned than the right arm.
Here are some tips to how to pick a perfect pair:
If you are looking for a nice pair of gloves to keep in your car during the winter, then why not try the SSG All Purpose Glove from Valley Vet? They are perfect for many different activities, especially driving and are comfortable with a multi-vent and reinlock palm. The Justin Women's Goatskin Work Gloves from Langstons are very soft and durable and are perfect for yard work and driving as well.
The Columbia Women's Snow Glimmer Softshell Glove from Altrec is perfect for driving but also for skiing or other outdoor activities. It is water repellent and has a leather palm for a great grip. The Woolrich Fleece Travelers Gloves for Women from Sierra Trading Post are great for keeping your hands warm and for keeping a close grip on the steering wheel as well.
The Spyder Milano Gore Tex Glove from Back Country' is waterproof so it will not only keep the cold out, but also the snow, wind and water. These are great for riding on a snow mobile or for just driving around town on a cold winter's night. Don't let the winter keep you from going outdoors anymore!
Driving gloves can really come in handy during the chilly winter months. If you hate touching the frozen steering wheel in your car every winter, then why not wear a pair of warm gloves to keep you cozy? Keep your hands toasty in a stylish pair of gloves while driving.

QUESTION:
I would love the guests to wear hats to a wedding in Canada. What wording do you put on the invitations?
We are british family living in Canada and wish to encourage the ladies to all wear wedding hats to the wedding and the reception.-
ANSWER:
Etiquette wise, you can tell your guests how formally to dress, but not what to wear. That being said, you can certainly encourage them to follow a theme if they decide to. Wedding hats are similar to a Renaissance theme, in that most guests probably won't own something to wear already. Some guests may enjoy your idea, and decide to buy a nice hat for the day, but some may feel they're spending enough already, or that they won't use the hat again.I would word the dress code something like this:
Black tie optional
For ladies, wedding hats are encouragedStart looking around at yard and estate sales, and hit up thrift stores for some second hand hats. Have them on a table at the entrance to the ceremony for guests to borrow (if they want) who didn't bring one.
Also, the bride and groom, and all the wedding party should be wearing hats. It's only fair, in my opinion.

I live in the UK and know and adhere to the "hats at wedding" rule.-

QUESTION:
What movie has a wedding scene where the groomsmen are wearing top hats and pinstripe pants?
I am getting married soon and my fiance wanted to know what type of tuxes I liked. I remember seeing a movie where the groomsmen had on top hats and black pants with gray pinstripes. Anyone know what movie this was? I'm sure it's a chick flick.-
ANSWER:
You're probably thinking of "Four Weddings and a Funeral," or perhaps "The Wedding Date."That type of clothing is called "morning dress." It is the most formal dress code for daytime, and is thus the counterpart of white tie in the evening. (Black tie, meaning the tuxedo, is not worn before six o'clock or sundown, whichever comes first.)
There are a number of subtleties to morning dress, but the basic components are: grey or black morning coat, striped trousers, usually grey vest, usually white French cuff shirt, formal necktie, and black oxfords. The trousers are actually what's called a "cashmere stripe" or "hickory stripe," which is slightly different from a pinstripe. (It also has nothing to do with cashmere.)
Morning dress can be rented from any decent tuxedo rental store. Some will push wing collars and ascot ties, but the turndown collar and necktie is advisable, for reasons too complex to explore here. A silver-checked tie is classic for weddings. Resist the urge to match colors between bridesmaids and groomsmen. Morning dress does not lend itself to experimentation.

QUESTION:
What's the deal with all the hats on the women attending the Royal Wedding?
Just watching coverage now, and they are all wearing huge stupid hats! Why?-
ANSWER:
It was a Christian tradition for women to cover their head in important occasion.1 Corinthians 11
5 But every woman that prayeth or prophesieth bareheaded, dishonoreth her head, for it is even one very thing, as though she were shaven.
6 Therefore if the woman be not covered, let her also be shorn: and if it be shame for a woman to be shorn or shaven, let her be covered.

QUESTION:
What is the British tradition of wearing fancy hats to weddings (I'm American & have a UK wedding to go to)?!
I have lived in the UK for 5 years, but have only just been invited to my first wedding in this country! It's my understanding that women usually wear fancy hats (or sometimes feather fascinators) to weddings? I am a bit reluctant to do so because I think I'll look stupid! Am I expected to wear a hat, and/or if I don't, will I be the only one without one? Is it OK to wear a fascinator instead, as I think I may feel a bit more comfortable wearing one of those (plus they're a bit less expensive than hats!) Any advice would be really appreciated!!!-
ANSWER:
There's no obligation for you to wear a hat, except if you're one of the principles. A feather creation will look good, depending on the style of outfit that you choose.

QUESTION:
What is the etiquette for ladies wearing hats to outdoor weddings? I am attending a wedding this week & would
like to wear a hat with my cotton summer tea length dress. What are the rules to follow for ladies and hats? Do I have to remove my hat at any time and if it is a wide brimmed hat are there any rules about embracing someone without smacking them in the face with the brim. Any quick help would be great!-
ANSWER:
You are permitted to wear your hat outdoors as long as you do not block the view of other participants. Remember this as you choose your hat. Perhaps you might select something with a mesh or net brim.
If you are blocking someone's view it would be considerate to remove the hat before being asked.
When greeting others, you are allowed to keep the hat on and assume the "air kiss" head position in order to not poke them with the brim. If you are poking people, take it off.Much of etiquette is simple courtesy.

QUESTION:
Hats at a wedding!?!?!?!?
Okay so my dad has always worn a baseball hat everywhere we go whatever we do (I mean except pictures) so I wouldnt think of asking him not to wear a hat at the wedding (he doesnt look like my dad with out one) So I was thinking of having him wear a Fedora or something of that nature to walk me down the aisle in. Its more of a casual ceremony and no one will be wearing tux's. My dad would like to wear a jacket or a nice suit. Is this wrong??? Or do you think it will look fine?
I thank you for the links but if you include them please try and keep them reasonable as I will be purchasing it and he will probably only wear it once maybe twice. So not over .
Sorry I should of added the ceremony info. Yes its an outside wedding in the local park over the lake. It will be at sunset in August.-
ANSWER:
Sure, if a hat is his signiture, he should wear one, it will look fine. The family all know this, that he wears a hat, it will not be a surprise. If it is a summer day, they make them of mesh, or have some mesh in them. He could go with a fedora, or a cool 1940's style, see some old movies from the era.
You could even do a baseball hat, in black, or whatever color his suit is.
I typed men's hats into the browser, picked the first company, and the first page was pictures of all kinds of hats, fedoras, panamas, baseball, casual, and even size x sizes. there was also a listing for shopzilla, who advertises low prices.
If you have a sense of humor, get him a black baseball cap, and put FOTB on it in silver or gold. Even put some braid on it, alla military style. Nobody will mistake him for anyone but the father of the bride.
And another good joke to honor him with for the reception is to get similar baseball caps for the bridal party and on a cue, have them turn, put them on, and turn back to the camera.
Gee, if I were Daddy's little girl, I would even consider doing likewise, attatching my veil to a white baseball cap. Check with Mom first, to make sure she will not have horrors, if she has been all these years trying to get him to take the hat off, she might not think it is funny.

QUESTION:
Do you like to see guests wearing Hats at a wedding?
I attend many wedding events each year and the best ones are very formal with a sense of strict protocol. The ones that defy the traditions and personalize everything often fail to connect with the audience simply because a minority share the same taste and the guests are left uninspired and unfulfilled. Creativity requires an intuitive mind and great awareness. Instead of reinventing the wheel, we could just add some new rims. I like to see guests that make a real effort for the big day and accessorise with the inclusion of an attractive Hat. The word informal should not be associated with a wedding. What do you think about all of this?bigsands

Can I wear a black top hat to my wedding?
I think (I may be wrong) that black top hats are traditionally only worn to the races and that grey top hats should be worn at weddings. Is this correct?-
ANSWER:
Grey top hats are part of gentlemens "morning dress" - that is, formal wear worn in the morning or early afternoon.Black top hats are worn in afternoon evening attire. With it, you should be wearing a tailcoat. You can match your bow tie (never a normal tie) with a matching satin band around the top hat.

QUESTION:
Do men at English weddings wear top hats?
I've seen men (namely the groom and best man) on both Doctor Who and Peep Show wear top hats with their wedding attire. Is this the norm in England? Does it extend to all of Britain?-
ANSWER:
We wear something called a morning suit which is like a business suit but more formal usually with a slightly longer jacket and includes a cravat instead of a tie in a matching colour with the bridesmaids dresses. Top hats are sometimes worn, usually referred to as top hat and tails because of the jacket tail, but is rare these days and is less fashionable.
