   Where can I get a cheap hire for a Bently Arnage and a Merc S class for wedding hire?
   I am organising the car hire for a wedding in April for East london. I need to hire a Bently Arnage and a Merc S Class for the whole day - 10 hours. I have rang around a few places but they are all charging quite alot. As it is an indian wedding the driver will have to wait around but he gets to attend the wedding - lots of food and booze! Does anybody know any company they can recommend?

     If he is the driver, he can't be drinking booze. they rent the cars by the hour. So I doubt if you'll find one cheap. You might find a private owner, but even then I doubt if he would be interested in driving the car and waiting all day. 'good luck

   Where can i find a sports or performance car for wedding hire? Not the usual classics etc!?
   My cousin is getting married next April and has asked me to help her look up a sports/performance type car to take her groom to the wedding. he wedding is in Gretna Green in Scotland. Not sure how long the hire would be, looking for anything really that could be a day or 2-3 days depending on prices. Any ideas on who could do this? He isn't interested in classic cars or the usual bentleys etc.

     Try Al's Formal Wear or David's Bridal. I'm more inclined to recommend Al's over David's though. Both are national chains and you can look up their info online. I've included links.

5. QUESTION:
   How long should you hire a wedding photographer for?
   My wedding is coming up in October of this year and we have decided on hiring a photographer. We are unsure of how long we should hire them for. It ranges from 4 hours to 8 hours. Any suggestions on how much time is enough time?
   Wedding ceremony and reception are at the same place. We start getting ready around 3PM and I walk down the aisle at 5PM. The reception goes till 11PM which is a full 8 hours.

   • ANSWER:
     We had our photographer for about 6 hours. He covered us getting ready, took pictures of the bridesmaids and groomsmen, some pre-wedding shenanigans, the ceremony, post-ceremony group pictures with various family members, and the reception from our entrance through cake-cutting. The one thing that he didn't get was the bouquet/garter toss which I would have liked. However, our families took these pictures and they got some great shots nonetheless.

     Let him know and he will be able to best help you; you may wish to arrange your time table so some events happen earlier in the evening (such as moving the cake cutting and bouquet/garter toss closer together--ours were about an hour apart and he left in between the two) so everything can be covered while still being budget conscious.

   I`m seriously considering hiring my wedding dress and would like a fairytale/princess type.Are these available to hire or is it just usual dresses?

     yes alot of places will hire out wedding dresses because its cheaper than buying one and its only for one day so its a huge market, i have seen some lovely wedding dresses for hire, see what is on offer, you should be able to find a dress hire online there are many that you can even order online depending on your location, i really hope you find something you like

   Would you hire a wedding planner - uk answers please?
   I know wedding planners are huge in America but I just wanted to know what people in the uk think? Would you hire one?
   Also if you did decide to hire one do you think £1000 would be a reasonable price for assisting with planning the whole wedding right through to being there on the day?
   If not what price do you think is reasonable?

   • ANSWER:
     I didn`t hire a wedding planner, because all they would do would be plan what I wanted, and I`m quite capable of doing that myself. We did have an events manager from the hotel (who was Free of charge) but to be honest, I`d have done a better job on my own.

     £1000 is definitely a lot of money, what are you planning on spending, is this 10%, 3% of the overall cost and do you think this is reasonable.

   Could I hire a wedding planner just to help me find a venue?
   I can do everything on my own but I just can't find a venue. Should I hire a wedding planner just for that bit? Can I do that?

   • ANSWER:
     Just ask around... Ask people you know that are already married. Even if you don't want to get married at the exact same place as them, maybe they have a venue they found on THEIR search for a venue and decided not to use.

9. QUESTION:
   For a destination wedding, do you hire a caterer located where you live or one located where the wedding is?
   I'm having a destination wedding and I'm confused about the catering...
   Hiring a caterer that is located where my wedding is would make sense, but it'd cost a lot of money to fly over there multiple times just to consult with the caterer in-person. But if I hire a caterer that's located where I live, would they be able to fly to my wedding destination?

     You hire a caterer where the wedding is - how do you expect your local caterer to get over there with all the food??

     You either go on the advice of others when choosing a destination caterer and hope for the best, or your fly out there ONCE for a tasting. The rest of the consulting can happen via phone and email.

     For our destination wedding in France, we hired a caterer there and went there once for a tasting.

    anyone know of somewhere that does wedding dress hire in coventry for my finacee?
    My finacee is trying to find somewhere in coventry that does wedding dress hire, but she is not having much luck. If anyone knows of places that does it or know of/have a ivory wedding dress for sale size 14-16 i would be very grateful for your help

    Would you hire a Wedding Planner for your Big Day?
    I know its pretty common in the US but I have not come across many people in the UK who hire professional Wedding Planners for their wedding.

    And how much would you be willing to spend on one?

    • ANSWER:
      Only trust people who have hired one for an answer. Everybody I know that has hired one says it was by far worth the money. Some even say it was the best thing they did. Think about it, If you are spending over 20 thousand on a wedding why wouldn't you want to spend an extra bit to make sure everything goes perfectly and you can enjoy your time with your family. It makes perfect sense. Anybody who says no, you don't need one has never had the privilege of having one.

      O yes, and venue coordinators don't count, they don't do half of what a real planner does.

13. QUESTION:
    Wedding in Mexico: Hire local or bring a destination wedding photographer?
    I am getting married next year in Mexico (live is US) and have hard time deciding whether to bring someone form US or hire a local wedding photographer. The big problem is a price of bringing a photographer as it has a travel fees added. However, I couldn't find any local photographer who fits my style and I don't want "all inclusive package" from the resort which has a photographer. My friend went down this route and she is totally disappointed with her photos (long story). Any recommendations?

      Only you can decide that. The all-inclusive photographer probably won't be the same quality or get the type or quantity of pictures that you want. If you want a small handful of pictures that are strictly formal posed shots, then go with the local photographer since that is all they do.

14. QUESTION:
    Thinking of becoming a wedding planner, would u personally hire one?
    I have been thinking about starting my own business as a wedding planner but want to do my research first as to whether or not it will be successful/profitable. I was wondering from any brides to be, or people who are already married or plan to get married, if any of you would consider hiring a wedding planner? I'm just wanting to know this as obviously if it's something that people aren't likely to take up, then it won't be worth starting a wedding planning business.

      I would if I did not live where the wedding was going to be held. In tropical areas, wedding planners do not charge that much and are all the norm. We used one for my sister's wedding in St Thomas. She booked the site, the minister, the bouquet, and would have booked the band if we had used one.

      In areas where a lot of brides are destination brides, it is very common.

      However most people would never hire a wedding planner who had no experience. You would need to have worked in the field for a couple years before starting your own business. It is also a business where you absolutely MUST have a good website. It is very internet based now.

      As for being successful, I will tell you that event planning is not profitable. What happens is you build relationships with other vendors over time. Then you have a few DJs you work with who give you a discounted break b/c you are booking them every Saturday for a month. You have florists who give you a deal b/c you are ordering 2000 roses in one month over 3 weddings so they can order it in bulk. Those are the types of breaks that they will give you that will make it profitable but that type of relationship with vendors takes years to build and will only work once you have the reputation to get them 5 brides a month.

      I have been in advertising and event planning for years now and I'll tell you something--everyone thinks they can do it. Everyone can create an ad. The ad market went down years before the recession so I've been adding that to my regular job. The ad market is the first to go down in a recession and the last to recover. Ads have been so terrible for about 5 years because of it.

      A wedding planner is also great for the rare rare bride. The bride that just wants to show up and get married. She doesn't care about the flowers and just wants someone to take care of the details. An extremely career driven person that doesn't have time for meetings with a cake baker 9-5. It's great for that type of person--unfortunately in the recession more people have more time on their hands. I know my sister was that type so I planned her whole wedding. I've seen those types on tv where the bride just says No pink. This is budget. My husband and my tastes run more towards Vegas and gaudy--or whatever.

      There is just a lot of competition in the market. Many churches have a wedding planner that coordinates that end that the bride gets to use for free. Hotels have one on their end. All resorts have someone who does it so if you are getting married on resort property you'd already have those services.

    Should we hire a wedding planner?
    My fiance and I are planning our wedding. The wedding will be held in my home town, but both my fiance and I live in different states. One of my friends suggested a hiring a wedding planner to take the stress out of planning a wedding long-distance.

      Pros:
      -Excellent if you just don't have time because of your schedule
      -They know vendors in your area so they may be able to get you deals that you won't be able to get if you do it yourself
      -The day of the wedding they are making sure everything behind the scenes is running the way it is supposed to.

      Cons:
      -Price, you get what you pay for

      I currently have a wedding planner and it has probably been one of the best ideas I have had. She has told me want venues to look at, what caterers, vendors etc. This has saved me a ton of time on going to meet with vendors because she already knows which ones are not so good. She has also given me advice on how to run the ceremony and reception and given me tips on everything including making sure I'm not spending a fortune. Shes also gotten some extras thrown if from the caterer.

      If you can afford or budget to have one I would recommend. However if you have the time do put a full 110% into everything then you should go ahead and do it yourself. Planning a wedding by yourself is not impossibly and many couples do it.

    On "whose wedding is it anyway"(T.V.show) wedding planner Samantha Goldberg is hired for a couple named Tim & Brooke they have very strange or different ideas for there wedding. Samantha goes in & changes all of it to how she likes it almost snubbing there ideas. I just feel it's very rude of her. I just wanted to get some other thoughts on the matter. Thanks!

      I hired my friend that has a production company and was planning another wedding. It was amazing and she did not change anything around. She did an amazing job.

      If that would of happened.. let's say I hired someone like that, they would be fired instantly.

      Luckily, Steph listened to all of our ideas and concerned and did her damnest to make the day just the way we wanted it!

    Kinda freaked. Who do I need to hire for the wedding to run smooth? ?
    I am kinda confused with how I will know when to walk in, what order the bridesmaids go in, how to set up the ceremony, who plays the music, and when, and what not for my wedding. I know the pastor will help, but isn't there usually a wedding coordinator there to help you? The church we are getting married in does not offer one, so what exactly kind of person do I hire? Is it a consultant, planner, or something else? I only need help with the rehearsal and the wedding day.

      You can do it yourself if you talk to people who have done it before. If not, you can find a wedding planner/consultant that will be there for you.

      When interviewing a wedding planner, you should ask:

      What training and certification do you have? What is your experience level?
      Do you have a business license and business insurance?
      How do you charge for your services?
      Do you take vendor referral fees?
      What procedure is in place to provide a replacement if you should be unable to perform on the wedding day?

      This is a great question and I think many brides struggle with this decision.
      I am a wedding planner myself, and from my experience, I have never had a bride who didn't appreciate all the help and stress relief... however from my standpoint, I think a bride can do it herself if she wanted to save some money.
      The advantages of having a wedding planner are very obvious... the bride makes the decisions, but the wedding planner does all the work. Calls vendors, gets samples, sets up appointments and bargains with pricing. This eliminates alot of stress and work on the brides behalf. Also, I wedding planner can provide some great ideas about unique venues, color/theme ideas ect. They've done many weddings, they are a plethora of great knowledge... and often times you can get some great deals because of the working relationship with a good wedding planner and local vendors.
      However, could a bride do all of this... absolutely!! Really it just comes down to each individual. Alot of my brides are very committed to their jobs.. and don't have alot of extra time to do all the "dirty work." Some brides just like the personal attention that they get from a wedding planner. Others, just have the money and pay for the opinions and what not.
      When my clients ask me.. why should I hire you.. why shouldn't I do it myself...
      I just tell them. Your wedding is going to be one of the most important days of your life... in your life you have many things going on besides your wedding... work, family.. ect... but my job is your wedding. It is my job to make sure that day that you have pictured in your head is exactly what you want. Planning weddings is my life... and your day will be the time of yours.

      I know if I get married, I would most definately hire a planner. Less stress for me to deal with and they know wayyyyyy more than I do. also have connections with vendors, florists, etc. So they can get discounts

      go for a salwar kameez, you can wear it later on and its always in great style , you can even wear the kameez( the dress part) with jeans later on.

      lehenga is a long skirt and tops.....

      saree might be quite unmanageble for you if you havent worn it before

      I'm not hiring one.

      There are so many resources available to you that save you more money and time. Most event venues that host weddings also have event coordinators which do a lot of the same things a wedding planner does.

      For things that I know little about like flower bouquets, colors and others I ask people who do know.

      I enjoy the wedding planning myself and its nothing I can't handle. I know how to contact vendors all by myself.

29. QUESTION:
    When would it be wise to hire a wedding planner?
    How much of your workload is reduced by hiring one?

    As far as coming up with the guestlist, I don't think the planner can do that. It would still be up to me to find all the names and CORRECT addresses, or do wedding planners take care of that, too? i.e, they have access to NSA's database.

      You should hire a wedding planner if:

      1. You have no idea what to do or where to start
      2. You have a busy life and have no time or desire to spend time figuring it out.
      3. You want something extremely extravagant and want to save some money on it.

      Wedding planners generally have a pool of vendors and a great knowledge of the wedding industry in your area. They take a lot of the research out of planning a wedding. They can also often get discount from some vendors because they bring them a lot of business.

      As far as the guest list goes, you would need to come up with that yourself, it could be scary for a stranger to start hunting down people you know to get their addresses. Better for you and your fiance to make those contacts.

      As long as you pay the rental...then no you have no worries, you will manage to rent it.

      Men's Wearhouse--you can rent one from there. Just make sure that you get him measured plenty of time in advance so that they have time to get it in!! They rent white shoes too, if you need them.

    Is it advisable to hire a food catering for wedding when you are in a tight budget?

      it depends... u gotta do your research...do u have someone who can make u the food for free?...will it cost more to buy the ingredients?...can u find a caterer thats within your budget???

    Is it possible to hire a boat for my wedding reception that goes from Maidenhead all the way to Greenwich?

    It doesn't say on the website, you have to phone which I don't want to do.

      Isn't there an email address? If you have to phone just ask for a wedding information pack. They won't care or ask any questions other than maybe an idea of the date (if you don't know tell them that).

      Be aware of hidden costs when looking at wedding locations. A lot insists you use their caterers/disco etc which can be very expensive. There is always a minimum number of guests for food and buffet as well so make sure you take all that into account.

      If you are on a tight budget don't hire a wedding planner. As far as not knowing where to start, you can go to your local library and there are several books on how to organize a wedding, including how to meet your budget. Good Luck!

      The very first thing I suggest is that you and your future spouse sit down together and dream up your ideal wedding. Start by listing adjectives that will describe the experience, list adjectives that you hope guests will walk away thinking, and list adjectives to describe the colors / textures / environment of the wedding in your mind. Do this separately at first, then come together with your lists and discuss the similarities and differences.       Sure , first Congratulations ... in egypt u can go with different types of weddings , one type is non-islamic and the other is islamic ... differs from place to place , but islamic weddings have in common some features u might wanna know ,

      first women and men are separated , till u meet to go to ur apartement or hotel room ,

      Second only 2 musical instruments are allowed ... the Drums ... and another folkore instrument named ( Doff ) ....

      erm and thats all I know about the islamic ones , I didn't get to attend more than 1 anyway ...

      Non-islamic weddings :
      they include all kinds of music and dancing ... no separation , there is always an open buffet for food ... u come from the hair dresser or make up in a ceremony , there is a small ceremony before entering the wedding hall , and a final farewell ceremony with cars to ur new home ... all other events inside the hall is like any other european wedding , the cake , the flowers , the dancing ... etc

      this kind of weddings are really noisy and naturally u get a lot of headache next day ...

      Anyways , I think he won't go far with our wedding traditions putting in consideration that u be unpleased with some ...

      Unless you have thousands of dollars to spend on hiring one from Japan and flying her over to the USA to perform at your wedding, you're not going to find one. There are no real geisha in the USA. The best you're going to find is a performer who can play geisha. Sometimes they call themselves kimono-san.       A better choice, if you like the arts but can't find a geisha or kimono san, might be contacting a Japanese dance school and asking if you could hire some of the students or teachers to perform.

      Wedding dresses cost anywhere from 0 all the up to 0,000 and some more. If by hire a wedding dress you mean rent one try your local phone book for formal rentals. If that fails try consignment stores they usually have nicer, and up to date gowns. You can also try renting a prom dress, so of those look like wedding gowns. Add a veil and there you go.
      But if all that fails try looking at www.gioavonnisbridalboutique.net they have clearance gowns as low as 0 and you can have a full-fledged, custom wedding gown made to your measurements for less than 0. They also have payment plans.

      Most of the hotels on the strip have a wedding chapel. Cesears Palace, Excallibur, MGM Grand, Venetian definately do. If you check their websites they usually offer a range of packages that include flowers, photos, cake etc all part of the cost!

    hi. we don't have much money and at this point we are not sure if we can afford it or not.
    our friends tell us we should definitely hire a professional photographer for our wedding because the wedding photos are the ones we will keep for the rest of our lives.

      If you're looking for a cheap alternative, post on Craigslist asking for Photography students from your local college (if that's applicable). That's how I've gotten hired here and there. I do weddings for about , if not, free, simply because I'm a student. And most Photography students aren't bad either, most will do a pretty good job!

    As the Liberty Voices they are not affiliated with Disney, (but they are when they are the Voices of Liberty) so contacting the Mouse would not work!
