Should I get a wedding band or not?
I have a 1.5ct 3 stone princess cut platinum engagement ring. I was originally going to have this as my only ring, but now I think I want a wedding band. What do you guys think? Should I get a plain platinum band, a channel set princess cut band (and if so, just one, or one on each side), or a wrap? Do they even make wraps for 3 stone rings? If so does anyone have a direct link to a picture of how this looks? Any advice and suggestions are welcomed!

  Personally, I can't imagine not having a wedding band. The engagement ring is a symbol of a promise to get married, but the wedding band is the symbol of the promise to be married - it's a band that you share with your husband and represents your union, I think, in a different way than the engagement ring does. It was really important to me that my husbands wedding band and mine matched, but this is by no means the 'norm.'
  
  The really neat thing about your ring is that it will look good with almost any style of wedding band. I don't think they make wraps for a 3-stone ring, but you may be able to find a 'ring guard' which looks like two rings on top, but they are connected underneath. These are sometimes difficult to find in platinum, though, so if you like that style, you may find you have better luck with two separate bands, or having one custom made.   A plain platinum band would be lovely, or one that is engraved, textured, or has a milgrain edge on it. But a channel-set princess cut band would be gorgeous, too... the only advice I would offer is make sure that the diamonds in the band aren't bigger than the smaller diamonds on your enggement ring ... the proportion will look better, and you don't want the band to outshine your engagement ring. Why don't you go to a store with your future husband and look at some bands next to your ring and see what you (or you both) like?
  If you're not sure whether you want one or two, you could always get one for now and if you want a second, get it later? Perhaps as an anniversary gift? Depending on the size of your hand, you may find that your ring with two bands looks 'too big' on your finger, too.

Recently, a Jehovah’s Witness commented on their governing body when he wrote: “The faithful and discreet slave is the only true channel that Jehovah is using, to direct his people.” Time and time again, we are told that the governing body is appointed by God and that members must humbly accept the “new light” that they publish every couple of years in official publications.

But what do you do if the governing body has internal factions, splits, and/or heated debates? For example, in 1980, there was a great debate about extending the deadline for Armageddon by 43 years (to fit with the launch of the Russian space satellite Sputnik, an obvious sign from Jehovah God).

According to Wikipedia:

Raymond Franz was forced to resign from the Governing Body, and he was later disfellowshipped from the religion. Many of those expelled were labeled by Governing Body members as "spiritual fornicators," "mentally diseased," and "insane." The purge resulted in a number of schisms in the religion in Canada, Britain, and northern Europe, and prompted the formation of loose groups of disaffected former Witnesses.

So if the governing body has a major split on a doctrinal issue (for example, what if Barr, Herd, Jackson, & Jaracz want to publish “new light” saying the exchange of wedding rings is pagan and hence more banned), what would you do?

Chris: I don’t think that Franz snuck into the governing body to attack you from the inside. If he was an apostate spy, he must have decided on his mission very early in life. He was born in 1922 and raised as a third-generation Jehovah's Witness. He was also an active missionary before being selected to the governing body. Wasn’t he involved in the New World Translation Committee or was that his cousin?
Excellent point Pedro. The Governing Body is not perfect and even Jesus had a traitor amongst his hand-picked twelve. But the question is whether there is any risk in such devotion to a group of men, when they are fallible. Have you ever heard of the concept of “trained incapacity?” Depending wholly for truth on a group of fallible men works only to the extent that they get it right. If one is accustomed to getting “spiritual nourishment” from humans, one might find it hard to function when the source is wrong.

  The Governing Body disagrees all the time. But everything happens behind closed doors so that the rank and file Witnesses don't know about it.
  
  Most doctrinal changes are not decided in a unanimous fashion. If one side gets a two-thirds majority, then that side prevails. An example is when the Governing Body decided to allow JWs to participate in alternative civilian service in countries that offered it to conscientious objectors.
  
  This issue came before the Body several times in the 1970s, and each time a majority (but not a 2/3 majority) voted to allow the brothers to participate in this. However, because there wasn't a 2/3 majority, the brothers still had to go to jail instead.
  
  Then in the mid-1990s, the Body was able to reach a 2/3 majority in favor of allowing it. Now in countries that allow alternative civilian service, the JW brothers don't have to go to jail.
  
  Just one example of how lives can be drastically altered by the whims of a few old white men in New York.

Wedding Etiquette - Little Bridesmaid?
I will be getting married next year and i would like to ask the daughters of two of my distant cousins to be my bridesmaids, they are 5 and 7 respectively.

I'm sure their mothers would like it and i know the little girls would like it, i was a bridesmaid for cousins at the same level when i was little.... but what would be the correct etiquette to ask them.

I come from a big family and although i see them at family occasions 3 - 4 times a year, i'm not in 'direct' contact with them, i.e. i don't ring them for a 'chat'..... the family grapevine works wonders!!!

Should i get in contact with the mothers through my mother/grandmother and just ask the mothers if i can meet with them? Then do i ask their permission to ask their little girls?

There won't be any cost involved, i.e. i'll pay for their dresses, shoes etc but obviously there will be some inconvenience to their parents (who would be attending the wedding!)

Have you been in this situation, either as the bride or as the mother of a little girl who has been asked? How did you handle it/would like it to have been handled?

YA folks - I need your help! I have spoken with my fiance and he is A-OK with me wearing my engagement ring on my right hand and finding any wedding ring that I like.
I really want to have aquamarine stones on my wedding ring since that is what my engagement ring is and I can't wear them together. My fiance was really happy with the aquamarine idea because he spent alot of time and money choosing my engagement ring.
Why can't I wear them together? I have a 2.5 carat aquamarine that is cushion cut (sort-of rectangular shape) and normal bands don't look good with it and I can't find a ring with a bend in it that accomodates the shape. And it is just well beyond my budget to have a ring custom-made to fit (maybe as an anniversary band in some future year, but just can't swing it now).

My engagement ring already has the big stone in it. I would like something that includes at least small stones so I could incorporate the aquamarine into the wedding ring - pave setting, or a 3- or 5-stone band. I also found a channel set aquamarine eternity band that was nice.

The hospital that Mark worked for ( kingston hospital ) refused to acknowledge me as his partner even though he had completed an expression of wish form. As a result all my partners money went to his family even though they had not spoken to him for 12 years and did not even know he was dead. I had no way of contacting them direct. I went to court and won my case but as the family spent the money as soon as they got it, they did not even get him a memorial, I will never see a penny of it.

God didn't tell my to go late to Church today. I just thought it was Sunday (because yesterday was the 4th & a day off). The Lord confirmed for me to get ready & go to Church today. So?   God gave me a disease, giving me warning that I was going to get it, but it was destiny for me to get it. I got it, and wasnt blinded by obscurity of what I had to do, what the purpose of having contrated something that would change my life. - Affirmative action benefits women much more than men. The details of this part are definitely not even close to equal.

- Rape laws put no burdens or duties on women, but risks of jail on men.

- No penalties against women if they falsely accuse a man of rape, etc. This is surprising to me.

I could keep listing more and more examples, but hopefully you get my point. So if women want to keep societal benefits such as these, while demanding equality in any way that previously benefit men, is that really equality? Or is it actually demanding female supremacy?

My opinion is that equality means leveling the playing field in ANY way that benefits one gender over the other.

I was reading the chapter "The Sex-Directed Educators" in Betty Friedan's The Feminine Mystique. It said that in the 60s, it was expected of women to start college, but almost none of them finished. It was considered abnormal to have a career, and most women went to school, not with the hope of landing a degree, but with the hope of landing a wedding ring. Education was something to be disinterested in, a waste of time for women who were going to become "homemakers."

I found this appalling. I know standards today are different; take myself: I finished college, grad school, and while I am now engaged, my marriage will not trump my career (or vice versa). But I know some women are still resisting education in favor of marriage. Does anyone know any women like this, or ARE you a woman like this? Please, serious answers only.

I didn't want this to get into a debate. I appreciate the fact that many women want to be solely wives and mothers. That's great; that's what my mom did when I was little. What I found appalling was that women back then did not seem to have any personal interests; did not see themselves as anything BUT a wife and mother. Surely there are other things you're interested in? Do you like to draw, star-gaze, or hike? It was appalling that women started something like college for vanity reasons...that they thought it would help them "catch a man."

And, I am not going to put my career before my marriage. That is not what I meant (I did say "vice versa"). I just meant that it IS possible to have a career and be a wife; the two thing are not solely exclusive. Being a wife does not mean doing all the housework and picking up after your husband; it simply means you are married to a person you love.

A few years into my marriage I noticed that every time my husband and I would get into an argument where my feelings are really hurt my ring finger would start to hurt. I would take off my wedding band, massage my hand and put ice on it. After that when it happened this pain/shaky felling started to go from my finger up my arm. However, after my husband and I would discuss/ resolve the issues or I would calm myself down the pain/discomfort would stop. But like I said it only happened when my husband would hurt my feelings.

I need:
(1) order of what happens when (procession, prayers, readings, vows, unity candle, ring exchange, etc.) and
(2) Typical wording for each part, like ring ceremony and unity candle.
Can anyone direct me to sites that spell out, in detail, the exact order of a typical Protestant, or non-denominational ceremony? I also need typical wording for stuff like his introductory words (just so I can give him some options).

Also, does anyone have scripture readings or favorite poems for the ceremony?

  There are a bunch of books out there that have everything you're looking for. Noelbutt...'s suggestion is good (I got it used on Amazon.com for about , including shipping). If you want something more modern, try Diane Warner's Contemporary Guide to Wedding Ceremonies (which I also got on Amazon.com for about delivered). Both books spell out the various elements of ceremonies, what they mean, and give sample wording and readings. They also suggest some other elements that you may choose to add to your ceremony (Warner's book includes handfasting, wishing stones, candle ceremonies, honoring the mothers, jumping the broom, sand ceremonies, etc.) and let you know which of the traditional ones you could drop if you want. I found them invaluable in planning the structure and content of our ceremony, and well worth the ten bucks I spent.

I have a 2.5 pound maltese. I'm wanting to get him a tuxedo for my upcomming wedding. (He's going to be the ring bearer) But I don't want to spend a ton of money on it as he's only going to wear it once. She got pregnant before they were together a year. I love them both and their kids. His brother is very very very competitive and the girl never really was. How should I approach my live-in boyfriend of 2 yrs. re: his money management before engagement (but coming)?
My boyfriend of 2 years just moved in with me from another city and we've talked about marriage quite a bit; however, we have different views on spending money. I'm a saver/invester (life insurance, 401k, just bought a house and fixing it up to increase resale) and although he doesn't blow his money, he isn't saving for retirement (i.e.401k) and is carrying 4k of credit card debt that he's slowly paying off (he isn't using his CC anymore to avoid building the debt) He pays all his other bills, though, including 15k of student loans.

I wouldn't say he's not responsible, but he doesn't appear to see the importance of saving or taking care of his debt (or perhaps he's avoiding the hassle). He works from home as a freelance writer and makes decent money, but he doesn't have the option of direct deposit and gets no employee benefits like a 401k to make it easy for him to put the money away before seeing it in his paycheck. And now that he's saving by living with me, he appears to be spending money on other things (not like crazy, but enough to notice) when (I think) he should be paying down his credit card debt.

I've brought up the topic, but only in a half-joking way that probably comes across as condescending, but I don't know how else to approach it. Getting engaged is probably going to happen in the next 6 months, but I honestly don't want to start planning a wedding until he gets his financial ducks in a row. Since I don't have a ring on my finger, I don't feel I have the right to say what he should/shouldn't do with his money, but at the same time I'm taking mental notes of how it could delay the next step in our relationship or cause problems down the road. Other notes: I'm 28, he's 29. My parents raised me to be very responsible with my money. His parents are great and also worked hard for their money, but I don't think they were 'planners' when it came to what they made.

1. Car insurance -- My black fire bird got hit in the quarter panel, made a dent all around the fuel door. 2. Detroit Edison - We have a huge tree in our yard next to our shed, also next to power lines that are in IMMENENT danger from this tree that is about to fall. Its leaning at a 45 degree angle and you can see the roots pulling from the ground. It wasent like that last week. We called them and they sent out kappen tree service (does all there tree work around here). They said they will only trim back the branches back far enough from the power lines so it dosent hurt them. They will also be tearing the new lawn all up driving there big truck back there... They left a HUGE mess last time they trimmed a tree in our yard, and left half the tree that we had to deal with... thats another story. This is going to screw up not only the yard, but also our shed, every thing in it, all the lawn mowers and a couple motorcycles by it, tons of stuff. AND the power and cable to a ton of houses north of us. They refuse to cut the whole tree down, called numorus times... They will not take the whole tree down, so we told them fine well you cant trim my tree. So they are not doing anything, they would rather let the tree hit the power lines then take the tree down. So a big FU to them.

3. Mattress Warehouse (Miller rd. Flint Michigan) -- So this burns my a** more than a waist high fire. I bought a 0.00 mattress with a 5 year warrentie. Less than one year later I have two big dips in the mattress, so bad that the cats seek that spot to lay in now. I was told by the swindling salesman that if any dips in the mattress, call him and we will get me a new mattress no charge. The thing about the warrentie (that i paid for) that he dident tell me is that if there were any stains on the mattress it voids the warrentie. I just got screwed. (I am filing a small claims suit on them. Im not taking that crap!

4. Microsoft Xbox red ring problem -- I dont even want to get into it... but I will... Lets just say 1-800-4my-xbox is microsofts bean counters direct line. There one red light problem and there three red light problem are both caused by over heating because they are poorly designed. They had such a problem they extended the 1 year warrentie for the 3 light problem to 3 years... But if only one red light shows up too bad for you, the warrentie doesnt cover it then. ITS THE SAME FREAKING THING! Well the bean counter (over in iraq or pakastan or what not) took 4 hours of my life away on the phone over a week of numorous calls getting the run around, talking with the supervisor bean counter, calling back in three days, the this and that, then the rude jerk, then the hanging up on me..... AGGHHH BASTURD BEAN COUNTERS!!! Ill bet you 5 thousand bucks that the Xbox live automatic forced update (internet) makes the three red lights only show up as one red light. That way your screwed. Why else did the one red light problem show up after they extended the warrentie?

All these were just last week!!! Am I just having a bad week, or does every big company really screw everyone? Isent the Attorney General and the BBB and other big paid goverment companys SUPPOSE to do things about this? Is that not why such organizations exsist? Are they all just getting paid off by these companies? Hmmm that seems very plausable...

Oh heres one more... Two years ago my parents went to the wedding of the son of there home insurance agent, and long time (childhood) friend of my mothers. While they were at the reception sitting at the table of the agent and all her friends whom are ins. agents, my dad asked agent1 what to do about the tree limb that just fell on the gazebo (very nice wooden gazebo hand made by my dad) asked if he should make a claim. Three other agents at the table said at the same time "Dont do it, they will probally cancel you" WTF! Long time customers paying there insurance every month, never made a claim, finally needs to file a small claim to fix a peice of insurred property and they threaten to cancel there insurance.... This makes me want to burn every insurance company down to the ground, see if they get canceled....

Why dosent anybody do anything about all these shady warrenties and insurance policys. They all have "clauses" and hidden terms in there fine print designed by bean counters and lawers to screw you "the customer" out of your hard earned money!!! They are NOT there to protect your investments thats for sure!

We booked a cruise last August, for this November (2011) since the booking Princess cancelled the cruise due to ship going into dry-dock, then put us on a different one, only difference they said we would be flying from Manchester to San Juan instead of Fort Lauderdale, and we would be two days less at sea, this was acceptable. Now we have received our flight details and they have said we have to make our own way to Heathrow, the day before and then fly to Madrid, then on to San Juan, but on the way home they would fly us from San Juan to Madrid, then to Heathrow, then on to Manchester. as my husband is 73 and suffering from Cancer, I tried to tell Thomas Cook, that t this was to much, and at no time were we informed of the "many stops" we said we would never have agreed to this. Thomas Cook said that Princess will not give back our deposit, as they have the right to change anything. ~To be fair to Thomas Cook, they said that they totally agreed with us and they only gave us the information that they had, they also thought it was a direct flight. but Princess have refused to return deposit, and that there was nothing that they could do. Princess will not speak to us, saying we have to deal with Thomas Cook, Thomas Cook said they can not do anything about it as its Princess that are responsible. We paid this deposit last August, and the holiday is not until November this year. What can we do? Thomas Cook rang me every week asking for travel insurance details, which I kept saying because of my husbands condition I did tell them as the first visit that he was 73 and had cancer, we could only book 1 year in advance, in November last year I booked the insurance, and then gave them the details. When we first booked the first cruise (by the way we have never done cruising before and its our 30th Wedding anniversary, so I wanted something special, as I have no idea how long my husband has) and we discussed in great details if he was "up for all that travelling," but we decided as he would be ok once on the plane, and he could walk around. etc, So what do we now do they might think that £500 is only a little bit of money but its a very lot to me, and we have saved up for 4 years for this holiday, which is now horrid. We do not want to cruise any more we feel that if Princess can treat us like this before we have arrived on board, whats it going to be like if we went. Can anyone advise please

  I'm so sorry to hear that you are having to go through all this hassle. The best thing you could do in this situation is to make an appointment with the citizens advice bureau or phone consumer direct. They will be able to advise you what your legal rights are and may be able to help you get your money back.
  
  Consumer direct gave me excellent advice regarding some poor quality goods and with their help i was able to force the retailer to give me a refund under the sale of goods act.

Prologue-
Jess grabbed the ring and threw it at his head as he pleaded for a second chance. But, his second chance is history, she thought, he’s already had enough chances. “What is your problem? What were you going to do, leave me just like high school?!”
The sun was just rising, and she could already tell that it was going to be another blistering day. It shown through the curtains brightening the room just a little bit more. He was squinting his eyes holding his hand above his eyes to provide shade and prevent the direct sunlight. With her back to the sun she looked him up and down, and then gave him a disgusted look. Jess stormed out of the room. “Jess wait,” Michael said with a pitiful voice reaching to grab a hold of her shirt, but missing it.
“No Michael, not again,” Jess said, hesitating before walking out into the leaving room. “I’m better, smarter now.”
Michael just stared at her she walked through the living room almost running into the ancient coffee table. Just as she approached the dark green door is flew open with Melissa’s smiling face in the door frame. It dropped as soon as she saw Jess standing in front of her. She pushed Jess out of the way and walked up to Michael, her face getting red and lips a line. “Why are you with this whore?” she shouted in Michael’s face.
As soon as Jess ran out the door Michael pushed passed Melissa to the open door listening to the sound of the gravel under tires. Jess’s car sped off on the gravel disappearing into all the trees, Michael turned around and stared Melissa down, “Why did you say that?” he said through gritted teeth.
“What do you expect me to say ‘Oh who is this lovely lady?’” Melissa answered with sarcastic sweetness.
“No, but you didn’t have to say whore!”
“Whatever. Oh yeah, what a great way to greet me,” Melissa said spinning around to go to their room.
Michael rushed out of the house grabbing the car keys from the coffee table. He paused thinking about Melissa, kissing her smart ass behind, before slamming the door behind making sure he heard the crashing of glass. The engine to the F150 roared and Michael sped off chasing Jess. As Michael approached the end of the drive he looked both ways for any trace of a car, but none were in sight and he slammed his hand down on the horn in anger. He had given up on her, Jess was not worth it.
Melissa walked back out to the living room finding the picture of Michael and she on their wedding day, the glass shattered around their smiling faces. A tear slid down her face and onto the picture. Then, she looked out the window, Michael’s truck was gone, he was gone, Jess was gone, and now she was alone.

- ANSWER:
  "A Prologue is a part of the front matter which is in the voice of one of the book's characters rather than in that of the author", according to Wikipedia. What you have done, here, is like a mini chapter.
  The prologue usually is placed before the list of Chapters, or the first page after the cover.
  
  The story is really good but lacks some imagery that pops out of nowhere like " the dark green door" and words like "head" and "ancient" are too blunt. If the coffee table is an important part of the setting then use more descriptive words like "the teak coffee table that Aunt Jilly gave her last Christmas".
  
  You don't have to go into great detail but some sort of scene setting to allow the reader to imagine they are like a "fly on the wall" and are seeing everything that is happening.
  
  Try to keep away from crass or vulgar terms unless you are going to use them constantly throughout the novel. Too much, though, may make the work too much like a cheap novel rather than a professional piece by a budding author.
  
  I realise you are a young person and for a teenager to write so well I feel that applause is warranted for your effort.

Trust q..dating 3 mos..?
After past experiences, I've found it very hard to trust guys now. The current guy Ii've been dating for a few months has shown to be good, direct in communication, (exept abt what I'm going to talk abt here,) all around pretty good bf material. Since we met on a dating site, after 2 mos., I brought up that if he's still trying to meet other girls then there's no point in continuing to see ea. other..he said he didin't, had only been, and wanted to just see me..that he would take it off. He did, very soon after, and we've been seeing ea. other steadily basically since we met. There's been subtle refs to me being his "gf" (His friend jokes and and says "your man.." etc., to me, and the other day said, "my best friend's woman.."(me,) and he did once say (when my ph. was ringing, "is that your other bf?" is said, "i didint knw i had one." and he said, "i thought you did." I unfortunatley didint investigate that statement further. So I'm assuming he might consider me his gf? anyway. How do you tell since I heard if you try to ask guys (ecspcially quiet/reserved ones) get scared, or turned off anyway. B/c of not having the "offical" link-no status updates on FBk.changed, yet:p etc., how do I completely trust yet? he's going this wkend on a trip along with the BFF guy friend, along with 2 other guys, and 2 girls--who are friends with his BFF. The trip including hiking, then camping at a site then going on to a wedding Sat. (the BFF's bro.) This sort of trip is rare since if he always went on excursions such as this without me, I wldn't stay with him. Advice please. Ecspcecially from those whose bfs go on trips without them. MVP’s VIP Lounge segment was taped prior to the official start of SmackDown. Tonight’s guest is Rey Mysterio. Rey gives the crowd an update on his condition and rehab. He will be back real soon. MVP makes a few racial remarks geared towards Mysterio and the majority of the crowd. The segment ends with no physical encounter.

Before the cameras resumed rolling, Hawkins and Ryder wheel Vickie Guerrero to the Ring. We are going to have a contract signing. SmackDown begins and the roof explodes. The amount of heat directed toward Vickie was impressive. I was sitting in the 4th row and I could not really hear Vickie’s promo. Vickie calls out Batista. She tells him that Edge already signed the contract. She tells Batista that it is a standard contract but there were 2 amendments. 1st amendment, Batista has to win another match before he can face Edge at Night of Champions. His next opponent will be The Great Khali. Batista leaves the ring. Vickie calls up to Batista and tells him the 2nd amendment is, he must defeat The Great Khali tonight or he will suffer the same fate as The Undertaker, he will be banned from WWE.

WWE Tag Team Champion John Morrison w/ The Miz def. Finlay w/ Hornswoggle. One on one match where Morrison rolls up Finlay to get the win.

Mark Henry cuts a promo on The Big Show.
Henry shows the world what his face looks like now, and a picture of what he will do to the Big Show’s face. (Instead of 1 black eye Show will have 2 black eyes.)

Another promo, Edge and Vickie. Edge talks about Night of Champions and makes references to the demise of The Undertaker. CM Punk walks in. He congratulates the couple. He then brings up Money in the Bank. The vignette ends with Punk saying he may just cash in MITB during Edge’s wedding.

Crowd was very dead for this match. This was easily the longest match of the night. MVP gets control of Punk’s MITB briefcase. While MVP was in the corner Punk hits the running knee driving the briefcase into MVP?s skull. Punk celebrates to the crowd and that is when the referee turns around, sees the briefcase, and DQ?s Punk. Chavo Guerrero and Bam Neely come out to the ring. Chavo puts over Edge’s and Vickie’s wedding and then introduces the United States Champ, saying that he will beat him at Night of Champions.

Matt Hardy used his Twist of Fate for the victory. Chavo then announces the winner of the match and the "loser at Night of Champions", Matt Hardy.

Jesse and Festus def. Deuce and Domino.
Festus had one of the biggest pops of the night during the match. Festus picks up the victory. After the match, Deuce and Domino get into it with each other and a brawl takes place between the two of them. Is this the end of the team of Deuce and Domino?

- ANSWER:
  Umm this is a good idea for a story. A girl trying to figure out how she wants to live her life is a good subject. But from what it says here, you change point of views mid story from a mother to her daughter. If that's the case you would want to probably do 2 books, you know like a prequel and a sequel. One about the mother and one of the daughter that way you can keep one main character and also that way the reader doesn't get confused. But if i'm totally wrong about everything and these are two different stories than don't change anything they're great.

QUESTION:
How would you feel if your fiance was acting like this?
First off he's 30 and I'm 27. We both work full-time and I also attend night school 1-2 nights a week to finish my college degree (I have less than 1 yr. left). He tells me that it gets in the way of our relationship even though I get most of my homework done during the week (at work) so we can hang out on the weekends. We live together by the way. Well, I am taking a directed study course so I will be home one more day of the week than usual. I thought he would be happy but he got mad at me for being home and told me that he looks forward to his time alone and that I am getting in the way of that. We got into a fight and I left and came home a few hours later. He actually got the nerve to tell me that I ditched him after he got through bitching at me for being in his way. He also just sprung on me that if he gets a job offer out of state that he would want to take it. We have agreed in the past that he wouldn't do this because we both have families and our roots where we currently live. The weird thing is that he hasn't been offered anything so it seems like he is making excuses to push us farther apart. We have been engaged almost a year and he keeps making excuses to stall the wedding such as telling me that I need to finish school first. This makes sense but he is not willing to set a tentative date. He also gets angry when I bring it up. Well last night he told me that I give him too much free time and I asked him to elaborate because from my understanding he looks forward to the nights I go to school; something doesn't seem right here. I took my ring off this morning and I asked him again what he meant by that and he got mad at me for starting up before work. I left in tears and I haven't heard from him all day. He seems so distant and is being very insensitive. I have been nothing but nice to him. And before this week we were getting along so well. Am I wrong to not want to wear his ring with the way he is acting? Wouldn't you be suspicious by his comment and actions?

  I'm engaged too, and if he were doing this to me, I'd seriously consider calling it off. It seems like no matter what you do, he's not satisfied. My fiance and I have some issues, mostly due to moving in together and arguing about stupid things like towels, and there are times when I think, "can I really deal with this for the next 40-50 years?" But what you've described here sounds like a deal breaker. He's obviously not respecting you. The part where he doesn't like you going to school? MAJOR RED FLAG. I know it's very hard to break up with someone you've been with a long time, especially someone you always assumed you'd marry, but his behavior seems very odd and disrespectful. I agree with the others--that he could be cheating. I would take trial "break" from him. Don't waste time in what sounds like a dead end.
