   I'm doing a school art project to design the inside of a clothing shop. I chose to do a wedding shop. We were asked to make a mood board on what we would sell and the types of furniture we would use etc. I bought some bridal magazines but i'm not sure what to put on my mood board because there are so many different things.      cloths to sell , you got to find your self a suppler kinda hard to find a good suppler. you need money to start up to buy the cloths in the first place, shop to sell your cloths. need to do your homework.There is help out there if you live in the UK there are places to help you start your own business for example princess trust plus they put you on courses and give you grants. Also night classes doing business that would help.

     the hardest part is finding a good supplier and the money to start up.

   We offer excellent service to the bridal party, and planning to open a second wedding dress shop. Any suggestions to the location of the shop, will be very helpful. How do the brides decide which shop they go to?

     Whatever possesses you to start or expand a business in the current economic climate, you must have a little bit of madness in your personality and your business optimism must be really high. Having said that, life goes on and the 4th most frequent occurrence in life after birth, death and taxes would probably be marriage, so you have a potentially huge market waiting to be tapped...

     Online marketing and having a virtual shopfront is one thing but there is still the thought that a physical location is still a good idea, because some people still don't like the idea of purchasing some products and services through their computers.

     There will always be vacancies in the high street or shopping centres - where other retailers can't afford it or it's just opening and you can negotiate a really good deal on the rent - where's your first shop? to be well situated, you should have them sufficiently apart (eg North and South, East & West or Central London and in the suburbs) still leaving room for more branches in other directions at a later date.

     I haven't really answered your question directly, but hope it's given you something to think about in order to get you your answer...

     The dress from China...ARE YOU KIDDING ME! I tried and learned the hard way. I saw a dress on Ebay for 200 dollars from Shandaimay China however they didn't tell you the Shipping was 400 dollars.

   Can anyone recommend a good wedding dress shop in Sydney?
   I'm wanting to spend between ,500 and ,500 and I don't want to go out west as I live close to the city and would be a hassle trekking out there for fittings etc. I'm thinking either in the CBD or else in Leichhardt.

     Can't comment on the staff but the gowns in the window are always gorgeous.

      i dont want tospend a lot on my wedding so i want to make some wedding decorations my self.. any ideas?I was in the very same situation--did not want to spend alot on the wedding, but I wanted to have beautiful memories of it all. I got very determined to do all of the flowers myself. I went to Hobby Lobby and told myself I could not leave until I found some flowers I absolutely loved. 11. QUESTION:
    I have a business idea of opening a wedding shop, but would let my employees to bring their children?
    Is it bad from a consumer point of view to allow employees to bring their children so they don't have to worry about childcare? I work full time now and would like to be able to spend more time with my son and watch him grow up. I hate the thought of having someone else raise my child. I guess my question is would you shop somewhere if the employees had their children along?

      While it is a lovely thought, I would appreciate the gesture but shop elsewhere. If the shop was a children's clothing store, it would be more appropriate. Buying a wedding dress is a dream come true for many women, and they want and deserve to the be center of attention when they are in your store. If you decide to proceed, I suggest you confine the children to an area of the shop not visited by customers, as it would reduce the distraction and limit their ability to do any damage. Children get dirty, and get their hands on everything -a bunch of sticky-handed children in a room full of white, hard to clean dresses, is a nightmare I wouldn't wish on a competitor. As well you want to look into whatever additional liability insurance you would need to keep children on-site, as the insurance you have probably does not cover that situation.

    everyone says you can set up any business in open for business the sims 2 on pc but i'm a bit disappointed.

Since they all chose from the same site, the color is spot on and they each have a dress that suits their own body type and love.... here is a helpful hint... i ordered my daughters dress from there first... i measured my daughter like it said we should, and i ordered the dress size it recommended for her measurements ( though it was a bigger size than i would have normally ordered for her ) and it fit perfect!! so, all the rest did the same. now they all have perfectly fitting, matching in color, absolutely beautiful dresses!!!!

      It depends on the places that you would like to go. If you have a store in mind, call them...they may have openings available. Also, a lot of the time you can justs show up. Unless a place is REALLY busy, they are not going to turn away a potential sale.

      don't know exactly where you are in arizona but david's bridal has locations in tucson, phoenix, and peoria.

      they are the best place to get a good selection for great prices and where you can get it fitted and so forth on such short notice. plus, they have an excellent selection of coordinating bridal party dresses and gowns and men's tuxedos...so it is sort of one stop shopping.

      you can even get your accesories there...shoes, head pieces or jewelry and bags, garters and guest books. you'll never go wrong at david's bridal.

    When do I need to shop for a wedding dress?
    So I just got engaged, and I'm excited about buying my dress, but I want to wait. I'm planning on losing as much weight as I can in a healthy way. Hopefully close to 60 pounds. I've got almost a year 'til the wedding.
    So how close to the wedding can I start my shopping?

      6 months before the wedding is a good time to start shopping. Some dresses are made to order, so it takes a few months to have them made & delivered, and then you have all the alterations.

      Even if you wind up buying a size or 2 larger than you think you will be on your wedding day, you can just have it taken in. It's easier to have a dress taken in than let out, so DON'T make the mistake of ordering a dress you can't fit into - I know someone who did this and had to rush around to find a dress that fit the month before the wedding.

    I don't know, it was just something I was wondering about. Do you think if the person who pawned the ring pawned it because they were going through a divorce it will have the same affect? Do objects carry spirits?

      No, But I wouldn't buy one from there. A ring represents a time of Love between two people, that ring carries the love that those two people had at one time. It wouldn't mean the same thing as buying a new ring, at least to her it wouldn't. Which is different from using a ring that was passed down from a dead relative. The ring should be special and only hers. Never should it have been someone else's.

    My wedding is coming up and money is tight. I am considering buying my wedding dress from a consignment shop. Is this a good idea?

      Sure, go for it! As long as its clean, has no stains or tears then I don't see the problem.. Makes more sense than paying hundreds of dollars for a dress you'll only wear once!

      Well, I'm a big believer in both!
      Go to stores and try on wedding dresses until you know what style you love and what suits your body -then buy online!

      I did this and bought my gown from www.catchthebouquet.com.au - I love it! The seller used to be on eBay but has the new site now. She even does versions of dresses you like if you send her pictures of them.
      She did my version of a Bonny wedding dress for A0 - the original was going to cost me 00! I love her.
      I'll buy my bridesmaids there as well as soon as we figure out what they're wearing.
      The ladies name is Bella and she's relaly helpful. She organises the making of the dresses. All you need to do is pay and give her a LOT of measurements and your dress arrives 6 weeks later. Even Mum is thinking about getting an outfit made as well because mother-of-the-bride stuff is really expensive.

    What benefit he will get by contributing to Williams wedding? He is a self employed and pays quite a lot of tax on his monthly small earnings. Tourism? Are the tourist from all over the world will visit Norwich and buy stuff from his shop during their visit to wedding?

      It's easy. Get some Chinese mugs shipped over with their faces printed on them, the UK flag and Norwich, that's the sort of thing tourists buy. There'll be hundreds of container loads of plates, teatowels and other tat arriving from Shanghai over the next couple of months. You could probably still sell Charles and Di tat to tourists. Get a trailer load for 5 quid and tell them you have some rare collector's stuff, hard to find therefore expensive, right? Learn from other countries and the tat they sell to tourists!

    And my boss wants me to wear a bridal dress to serve the customers and put them in the wedding spirit. The problem is that I really like to wear blokey clothes and would prefer to dress as a groom.

      Honestly I think that you would have a difficult time properly serving customers with a bridal dress on. You need to be able to help THEM get into their dresses, etc. I think they would be confused and feel awkward if you were in a dress. You need to express these concerns to her!

40. QUESTION:
    How do a tell the weddiNG SHOP THAT YOU LIED?
    When I first started looking at wedding dresses I would tell the sales people that my wedding is July 2009 which it is and they would be very rude and not help at all. So I went to the last bridal shop and told them that it is July this year so that I could get more help. But i found the dress that I want to buy and my party's dresses too. How do I tell them that my wedding is July 2009 with out them getting up set. I never thought that I would find my dress this early.

    • ANSWER:
      As long as you've got a deposit down on the dress, and are making the payments on schedule they shouldn't care when it is. Just tell them that you've had to change the date of the wedding or take the dresses by July of 08 and if they need to be altered the following year go to another seamstress.

      Either that or tell them they misunderstood you and that THEY got the year wrong and you told them 09 all along!

      Or you can 'fess up and just tell them what you told us and maybe it will be a lesson in better customer service for them.

41. QUESTION:
    do you need to book a appoinment to have a look in a wedding dress shop?
    i am wanting to look round some wedding dress shops tomorrow and would like to know if i can just walk in without a appoinment or if i need to make one?

    • ANSWER:
      You do not need an appointment to look, but most bridal shops require an appointment for you to try dresses on because that can be an hour or long process which occupies their dressing rooms which are booked for other brides.

      If you wish to make the most of your time, it is wise to pre-shop and jot down the designers and the styles you like so when you do make the dress trying on appointment, your time is used efficiently.

      After you make the appointment, here are a few tips for the day you try on dresses:

      Do now wear makeup or perfume or body lotion
      Be hydrated and have something, no matter how big or small, in your stomach
      Wear a strapless bra or a long line bra (a backless bra that is fitted in front to the waist)
      Wear comfortable panties that fit well
      Avoid a fussy hair do and bring a barrette to hold long hair up.
      Shoes are optional.
      Bring only one or two people with you. Once you narrow down a few dresses, then bring in the calvary to help in your final decision among those dresses. Too many opinions from the start will confuse you and frustrate you.

      Many years ago I was seamstress for a bridal shop and found these hints made for very successful bridal appointments. Bridal shops are going to hate me for this, BUT, if your dress needs to be altered, see if you can find a seamstress on the outside as bridal shops typically charge quite a bit of money for the simplest of alterations. A qualified independent seamstress with experience in bridal wear can save you a lot of cash.

      Zales does carry a limited amount of platinum bands. They also can order in bands you might see on their website if you don't see one in the shop itself. When it arrives and you don't like it you can just have them send it back.

    I'm going to a wedding dinner party. I am just the guest there. Where do you girls think is a best place to shop for wedding outfit.       you don't have to wear a dress - that outifit sounds nice....try H&M or Macy's, and don't forget the sales rack, if it's from those stores no one will even know it's off the sales rack to begin with! There's nothing wrong with Target - but honestly the quality of what's on the sales rack there, is going to be alot different than the sales rack quality at a higher end store.

    Where is a good place online to shop for an outfit for a wedding?
    I have a wedding to go to in May. I want to get a new outfit but don't have time to go out shop. Where can I shop online. I am a size 4 or 6 and I want something cool and sexy if it's a dress it has to cover my legs or I can wear pants. I looked at Victoria's Secret and Newport News but didn't see anything really.

      look at the teen stores too.
      and at formal dresses.. any thing would be cute

      As far as I am concerned,Davids Bridal,which has stores all over Ohio is good. My daughter got a 0 dress there for on sale.They were very helpful and also gave us credit so we could buy the bridesmaid dresses there as well.

    Price is not a problem at all so I don't need discounted dresses. I just want a website that has alot of dresses to choose from.

      bestbridalprices.com They have a lot of designers listed and are the actual dresses, not knock offs like you'll see usually.

      I do recommend whatever dress you like find a retailer near you and at least try the dress on. Sometimes what looks good online on a sz.0 model doesn't look good in person or on you.

      *It's not so much a discounted dress site. The most they take off is a hundred bucks or so. They have lots of designers, cheap and expensive. For what you want this is just about the best. You can also check out the dresses on theknot.com but you cannot buy directly from them.

50. QUESTION:
    Is there anything I can do to retrieve items (my wedding rings) from the pawn shop after the final date?
    I went to the pawn shop 8 days after the final date notice. Most pawn shops have a 10 day grace period. I was wrong, they said I lost my items. I don't know what to do, I have to get th items back. It's my parents wedding rings and my wedding rings. Can someone help me with laws you may know of?

      About the only thing you can do is buy the rings back at the store price, which will probably be about twice what you pawned them for. Once the final date came and went, the rings became the pawn shop's property.
