     Try dressinwedding.com......I have seen some gorgeous ones on there and my niece just got her deb ball gown off of there and it was fabulous. She had to send in all her measurements and I mean every measurement!!! And the gown fit perfectly and cost about 0 Australian all up! At least worth taking a look.

     Have to tell you that the idea of getting married in khaki did not initially appeal to me AT ALL. However, and provided its a relatively casual daytime wedding, I found these taupe khaki suits on Amazon that look quite nice. The fabric sounds like a nice blend. And they are offered in a HUGE array of sizes. So look at them and see what you think. (see link) And by all means, and if you like them, buy them while they're on sale!!!

   My little sister is marrying her partner in April, and is having a difficult time finding a suit. She wore one for her civil ceremony but it was mens and did not fit quite right.    Is it ok for Groom and grooms men to wear suits for a wedding?
   I hate the idea of paying 100+ per person for tuxedos for my wedding this summer. Im thinking about buying suits for the bestman/Groomsmen and that would also double as their gift. They will not be extremely nice suits but will not be cheap. Is this appropriate?

   What type of wedding dress suits my figure?
   I am 36C - 26 - 36, 5'0.
   Does that mean I am a petite hourglass? (I also have a short torso). What kind of wedding dress would flatter me? Yes, I know I have to go into a store and try dresses on, but I'm finding a lack of information on the net that talks about combination body types.

     Choose a dress that complements your shapely body by putting an equal amount of focus on your top and bottom half while still elongating your torso. You would look best in a dress that is fitted to the body, such as a mermaid, fit n' flare, or trumpet gown, with a V-neck or a sweetheart neckline. A fitted dress creates a continuous long line, making you appear taller. A natural waist (hitting right at the smallest part of your waist), an empire waist (hitting right under the bust), or a princess seam gown (also known as a fit and flare style, there is no break at the waistline) would be ideal waistline types. Depending on the season that you are getting married and your comfort level, a high neckline may also work for you as it will also lengthen a short torso.

   What type of wedding gown suits someone with an athletic figure?
   I'm 5'6", 145lbs an avid runner and fitness enthusiast. I'm going gown shopping in September and can't get a good handle on what type of gown would look good on my figure. All the guides discuss problem areas, body shapes, full this petite that, none of which I am. My body, I'm small chested, a B cup on a good day. Wear size 4-6 in normal dresses. Average waist and hips, muscular, long torso, I look normal from the front but been told I "disappear" turning profile. My biggest fear is looking like a linebacker or incredible hulking out of dresses that confine my broad shoulders. It's an outdoor ceremony, which calls for a more informal style. I'm not into poofy gowns with giant trains. I'm classic and professional in my daily style. Married ladies or people who know dresses, please help! I like having ideas before making decisions.

     Well, I'm only 13 but I think I can help. Since you said you have broad should avoid large details (flowers, lots of beading etc.) on straps. If your going to have straps, keep it simple with little to none deatil. Since you said it will be pretty informal, I would not do an over the top gown. Keep with classic lines and styles.     Do you wear Tuxedos or suits in a wedding?
    I dont even get whats the difference between a tux and suit.. is a tux just more formal? So should a groom wear a tux at his wedding?

    • ANSWER:
      Hi, as a wedding planner man clients ask this question. The difference between a suit and a tux is that a tuxedo is a formal suit so to say. It usually has satin or grosgrain lapels. On the other hand, a suit is a normal jacket and trouser pants which match. The tuxedo is usually for more formal occasions whilst the suit is more for informal occasion such as business meetings etc. My clients usually go with both (ie, the groom wears a tux and the rest of the wedding party wear a very formal suit). You can also go with the option of having the whole wedding attire in a tux. Do bear in mind however the cost of such a decision.

      Yep. Dresses can also be rented (most people know that suits and tuxes can), but it is a bit trickier with them as they often need more complex fittings and alterations to fit "right" than your typical suit. And some brides tend to place more sentimental value in "keeping" their wedding day dress.

      All of that said, yes, you can rent either. And people do.

      Lots of brides try and sell their gowns, but that can also be tricky. You need to find someone who is looking for your gown style, around your size (or is willing to pay for alterations), and at the right time. Some people sell their gowns on Ebay, Craigslist, or in consignment shops. You can also look for used dresses here.

      If you are looking for a vintage wedding gown, costume rentals may have some great finds for cheap.
      You won't get any money back off a rental, but you also don't have the hassle of trying to unload your gown if you aren't planning on keeping it.

      I'm 5' and curvy. I thought I knew what kind of dress would look best. I then consulted with the online experts. We were both wrong lol. Just go and try on a lot of different looks until you see what really looks sharp on you.

      I find it shows enough curve without going overboard, and the angled line on the skirt elongates. The detailing at the top pulls the eyes up and the folds on the stomach hide the less-desirable curves

      I would have never thought this dress would look so beautiful on my body as it does so honestly, just go and see a lot of dresses on your body, you could really be surprised.

      You won't know until you try it on...The dress I loved online and thought would flatter my shape was the ugliest fit on me today and one I wouldn't have looked at twice online or anywhere was the one I fell in love with. You MUST try it on...no exceptions. Even if you don't buy from the boutique at least go there and see which style fits then look for the closest to that one or that dress

      One option to buy cheap dresses is to look online on sample sale websites. You can get designer dresses at up to 70% off the retail value. Try sites like dressinwedding.com and milanoo.com. For these sites you have to become a member by invitation (basically you give them your e-mail address and they send you an e-mail when a spot opens up) this doesn't take too long.       I am a Double G, and I just picked my wedding dress, the lady who sold it to me said to make sure and buy the size in between your breasts and waist and do the extra alterations, rathere than getting a size that will fit one or the other, she says the dress looks proportioned better after, definately get something with straps, or have straps added, and you could also go for a lace up back to give you some extra room.

      I believe that you should go in a charcoal black suit or even a lighter gray. It is formal but yet typical.

      Do not under any circumstances wear white to a wedding unless you are the bride. The bride is supposed to be the only one wearing white.

      Flatter your bodily attributes. Depending on your body type, pick a dress that showcases a great torso and waist or nice legs. Try to cover up a little more on top, though. If you are very pale, try something in the cool region of colors, like summery blue or violet, but no blacks or navy colors, as they are a bit somber. If you are very short, pick a dress where the hemline hits at just above your knee where your thighs start to taper, as this tends to lengthen you out. Try to find vertical lines in the dress, or maybe an empire waist. Avoid large, bulky dresses.

    the store cancelled our wedding suits at the last minute?
    all of my wedding planning has been going so smoothly up until today, I got a phone call from the shop we're getting our suits from informing me that our suits are discontinued (they were discontinued over a year ago before we ordered them but they didn't feel the need to tell us when we put our deposit on the suits, or when the guys got measured for them), so we're left without suits 4 weeks before the wedding.
    we found one shop in our local area that have the suits we want (which is a long coat, matrix style)... but at a much higher price.
    getting to this point of the wedding countdown, both time & money is short.

    we thought that we should order the suit we want just for my fiance, & have the groomsmen wear a simple suit which will be much cheaper.

    I think it may look good because it'll seperate my fiance from the groomsmen & will give him his own unique look for the wedding, but at the same time I think it could look very bad.

    do you think that would look tacky?

      First---get the expensive suits, and help groomsmen with cost
      Second-ask all groomsmen to wear a dark suit, if they don't have a dark one, preferably black, if they cannot afford one, pick up the tab

      Buy matching ties for all groomsmen, something that co-ordinates with other colors, ie a burgandy or a muted silver and have matching bouts, maybe making bouts a darker, richer color would be better than something light

      Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, can you live with them wearing suits, how fancy is your wedding?? If you have spent multiple $ for the wedding, then go the extra mile and get suits you want. If it will not make that much of a difference go with suits. Sounds like you are doing top dollar with the matrix style coat.

      To me this would not look tacky at all, they are making the effort to look presentable and are, I assume, willing to work with you. Stay tuned to the main issue here, your family and friends will not be coming to see a fashion parade (it is fun to see what everyone is wearing) but, they are coming for the joining of the two of you as you begin your new lives together. What anyone else thinks does not matter---it is your day---do what makes you happy.

      Tiffany blue suits? Are you crazy? That will look terrible, and probably clash with the girls dresses. Get black suits and wear a blue tie, or tie/vest combo. Much classier and it doesn't exactly match the girls dresses it won't be as noticable.

      As your guests will be in evening wear I am thinking that you would be looking for something pretty in an evening type fabric rather than a classic trouser suit? So what about a Shalwar Kameez?     I need some advice about a friend's wedding suits and the cost?
    ok, so my friends wedding is in june this year, and there is about 5 of us that are meant to be going to get the suits fitted up. Problem is that i'm not working at the moment, and it's gonna be hard for me to find the money. My dad said to me that i should just pay for a cheap suit, and that there is no point paying out £100 for a suit i'll wear once. Me and another friend were supposed to be ushers for the wedding, but now my friend says that he won't need us to do it now. Thing is i don't wanna pay out 100 pound for a one off wedding, especially when i can't really afford it. Also my friend said he had already put down a deposit at the suit fitting place. So will this matter though?

      if yu arent ushers at the wedding anymore, and arent actually involved in the wedding party, you arent obliged to get a new/matching suit. just tell your friend that you cant afford a new suit so you will wear one you already have (or a cheaper one)
      people cant expect everyone else to fork out heaps for THEIR wedding. when my sister get married and i was a bridesmaid, i was a student so she paid for my dress for me. if your friend gets annoyed at you, remind him that you arent actually part of the wedding party any more, and say that its the brides job to throw tantrums, not his!

    I have purchased suit fabric in navy color with stripes on it. Strip style is one thin stripe and one thick stripe and repeatedly so on. Stripes color are red(thin) and yellow(thick). Should it be ok for my wedding suit and what color of shirt, tie and pocket square should be worn with it.

      Tails are for formal weddings typically held in after 5 or 6 in the evening. That's just the normal rule, but if you try it on and like it and she likes it- it's your wedding so have at it.

      I think renting will be difficult or impossible at 193 cm, that's very tall for Japan. You'll do better to buy a suit.

      Have you checked online? If your Japanese isn't great, and assuming your fiancee is Japanese, you could have her look online to try to find a specialty store that rents suits for tall men.

      I don't see how sweat suits would be cooler than a dress, I mean the word sweat is right there! Duh. Just find a cocktail dress you can wear that sleeveless or strapless, that's much cooler than a sweatsuit.
